In the framework of the 47th session of the World Economic Forum in Davos, President Petro Poroshenko had a meeting with Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili.
The parties discussed a wide range of topical issues of the bilateral agenda. Special attention was paid to the common steps on the intensification of the political dialogue and enhancement of trade-economic and cultural cooperation.
The parties also agreed on the preliminary schedule of bilateral events at the high level for 2017, particularly in the context of the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Georgia.
The President of Ukraine and the Prime Minister of Georgia stressed the importance of continuation of successful practice of interaction within the international organizations and confirmed the immutability of mutual support for sovereignty and territorial integrity of the two countries.
The parties also coordinated positions regarding the visa-free regime expected by the citizens of Ukraine and Georgia in 2017.
